What happens when you're suckered into hiring 5 weeklies
Girl with a pearl earring is the best film I've seen in which nothing happens. Seriously, it's all meaningful looks, electric touches. How beautiful is Scarlett Johansson? Not so sure about Mr Dar-, er, Firth's wig. But the man IS brooding sexual tension. Interestingly, I just read that Ralph Fiennes was meant to play Vermeer, but it fell through.I crush the Netherlands now too.
Watched Lantana last night as well. A good Australian movie - something I long thought was an oxymoron. Not my fault, I was raised like that. Check out Anthony Lapaglia and Geoffrey Rush with the duelling glares.
