Covert information absorption

I wake up to Radio National nowadays. Purely by chance, because one day I mistook the tuning knob for the volume. Before, I had the classical music channel which was very soothing and not very good for getting me out of bed.

Things wot I have learned:

-The founder of Taizé was assassinated the other day. (took me three days to click: Taizé - taisez)
-NSW was the last state to accept women at the Bar - 1918
-Research shows that journalists have a vastly different perspective on ethics than the general public
-Breast-cancer pre-screening is not always a good thing
-People with asthma who get colds are much more susceptible to asthma attacks etc (I've noticed that every time I get a cold, my long-dormant asthma rears its head)
-The church is active against the new IR laws
-Anglicare has an evangelising mission
