I went to a Neil Diamond concert on Sunday.No, you are not hallucinating. Neil Diamond. The Jazz Singer, the Jewish Elvis, sparkly shirts and all. My mum likes him, and when she asked me whether I wanted to go, I suppose she interpreted "meh" as "yes, bring on the ageing pop stars!".
I swear I was the youngest Asian person there, or possibly just the youngest. Wall-to-wall frizzy white do's and old ladies bopping in the aisles, singing along. Neil Diamond rapping. I repeat, Neil Diamond rapping.
This rates as one of the most surreal moments of my life.
