Mundanities

I started reading way before I realised the difference between fiction and real life, so I only very recently discovered that books and films don't cover the full spectrum of human experience. I figure I need a catalogue of Things Wot Are Real to remind me of this fact. Things that are hardly ever depicted onscreen or in books, despite being a part of everyday life. Here we go:

-Women going to the toilet
-Putting a doona inside its cover
-Contacting books
-Unexplained blood noses
-Biting fingernails
-Normal people talking to themselves (or maybe it IS just me)
-Queuing
-Putting on clothes in a shop changeroom
-Flossing
-Blowing your nose in a pool
-Menstruation
-Cutting up credit cards
-Stationery shopping
-Parallel parking
-Cleaning the gunk from the sink
-Weeding
-Putting in contact lenses

Why the taboo on personal hygiene? I have never seen the process of going to the loo accurately portrayed. Makes me wonder if the rest of the world does it another way.
