ad lib: proudly destroying productivity since 1527

It's called post-exam procrastination. I should be packing for Vanuatu and organising what I have to buy, learning road rules so I can finally get my Learner's, learning Spanish, discarding the accumulated kipple in my study, writing to my neglected correspondantes. Instead, I'm playing games at addictinggames.com. The name says it all, really. Try the two Energizer games, MOTAS, Alchemy and Diamond Mine. Flash required.

In other news, this pooter is SO ready for the trash. Here are quirks I have to put up with daily:
-To start Winamp, you have to load a new list and ADD A SONG for it to play. Sometimes, after doing this, it still doesn't play.
-It never, ever shuts down properly. Which means that you have to do it the lofi way ie. pull the plug.
-There's a lag when you're scrolling down a document in Word. With no other programs running.
-I have to open new programs so that I have something to delete when the thing freezes (Alt-Ctrl-Del seems to jerk it back into action)
-Due to the lack of shutdown-ness, every time you turn on the thing, all the changed preferences are lost ie. my Googlebar is permanently set to search Nicaraguan Google.
-There's a DANGER! LACK OF MEMORY! window thingy that appears when nothing but Firebird, Word and Winamp are running.

Let's just say there are occasional fits of Puter Rage in this house. Occasional as in, every three minutes. *&^%$!
